Dear {{Constituent First Name}},
Four years ago, the TRUST Network came into being at a time of great uncertainty in our country. Our network was not built around a particular event or policy but around a vision of fostering trust in a time of division. Our diverse experiences, opinions, and aspirations are part of what makes our nation unique. Yet, without trust in one another, these differences can turn into divisions. Without trust, there can be no social cohesion.
Now, nearly five years later, we find ourselves facing renewed challenges, not just due to specific events but because our country must relearn how to trust each other. We need to focus on community and coalition-building. Looking at the work ahead, I see the importance of reaching across sectors—legal, peace and bridge-building, social justice, and pro-democracy—to create communities of practice. I must listen closely when someone leans in to share, not just when they speak. I must find ways to collaborate and innovate with those who may not share my views, live nearby, or think as I do. I feel a drive to build something meaningful and unifying, even when it’s tempting to focus on dismantling what divides us. We all must find a path forward that allows trust to grow among people with different experiences, opinions, and dreams. Perhaps, in doing so, we’ll discover common ground we didn’t realize we shared.
With Care,
Jennifer Grubbs, Ph.D. National Strategic Architect for the TRUST Network

On Tuesday, we will look closely at the emergent work our national, state-level, and local partners are doing, including PERIL's CARE Center. I invite you to participate in this open discussion.
