Dear {{Constituent First Name}},
Yesterday's stakeholder meeting was an affirmative moment for me. We began the meeting with an informative presentation by Bryce Kobe, CARE Community Organizing Associate, Polarization & Extremism Research and Innovation Lab (PERIL). Bryce shared vital resources and leaned in to learn about the great work happening across the TRUST Network. The discussion was framed by four areas:
Understanding emergent work
Collaboration and partnership
Sustainability and growth
Actionable takeaways and collaboration
The conversation flowed easily; trust makes that possible. At one point, I was listening to someone share, scribbling down notes on a paper, and watching the chat. I paused and reminded myself that the meeting is recorded, the chat is archived, and these relationships are long term. As we discussed the ways in which the U.S. election results will impact our communities, both personal and professional, we made a point to discuss how better positioned we all are today than we were four or eight or 12 years ago.
In 2016, the U.S. landscape of peacebuilders and bridgebuilders, democracy work, legal sector, and social justice organizations looked completely different. We have all been hard at work over the last eight years to build a robust, healthy network. I am particularly proud of the work the TRUST network has accomplished since its inception in 2020. Our network is strong because of the innovation and collaboration across the U.S. to build social cohesion and strengthen trust in our communities.
Below I have compiled the resources that were mentioned during our meeting. I encourage you to attend our next stakeholder meeting on December 10, at 2 p.m. ET. Each conversation is enhanced by your presence. Together our work is stronger.
