Dear {{Constituent First Name}},
Urgent Action Needed: Protect Community Safety
As individuals, we have an important role to play in the decisions that shape our communities. On Tuesday this week, the federal government halted funding for community-based organizations addressing a wide range of safety, health, education, and justice goals across this country. The federal government has also paused foreign aid that directly affects our ability to make America stronger, safer, and more prosperous.
The organizations that would be impacted are at the heart of our communities, providing essential services. We urge you to engage with your local and state representatives and share the impact of your work that has strengthened community safety and well-being so that they may be our voices in Congress supporting these vital programs. Our elected leaders must appreciate how these community-driven initiatives contribute to social cohesion and help build stronger, more resilient neighborhoods.
We urge you to engage with your local and state representatives and ask that the executive office remain committed to supporting these vital programs. Our elected leaders must understand how these community-driven initiatives contribute to social cohesion and help build stronger, more resilient neighborhoods.
Now is the time to make your voice heard. Reach out to your representatives and emphasize the importance of preserving funding for these life-saving services. You can find your representative's contact information here. Many organizations have made it even easier to contact your representatives. Here is one example.
Your participation in this process is essential to ensure that the resources needed to strengthen our communities are not put in jeopardy. Together, we can protect the values of trust and safety that make our society stronger.
Thank you for engaging in this important dialogue.
The next TRUST Stakeholder meeting, February 11th, 2025, will be a time to assess where we are, and what we can do to continue to strengthen the call to maintain these necessary streams of support.
This inaugural Compassion Report embodies the Muhammad Ali Center’s commitment to fostering a just and compassionate world where all people can reach their own greatness – just as Muhammad Ali envisioned.
This national research study combines a unique blend of human and artificial intelligence to track and predict the state of compassion in America. We call it the Muhammad Ali Index. The 2025 Muhammad Ali Index explores the national cultural insights and behavioral trends shaping compassion in America, alongside a comprehensive survey of 12 diverse cities. Together, these methodologies provide a captivating initial snapshot of the nation’s compassion levels.
